There was a time when all it took to be a web designer was a computer and an internet connection. Now, however, times have changed and this field requires a great deal of training if you are to make a career out of it. The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham offers students both an Associate's and a Bachelor's degree in Web Design & Interactive Media, two of the most popular and sought-after career fields.

There is so much more to web design than just being good at computers, and many of our students are artists at heart. After all, this is a design field, and by having a good understanding of the basics of art, you will have a firm foundation on which to build. By learning the fundamentals of drawing, color, and design, you will better be able to put your technological skills to work.

Students who graduate with a degree in Web Design & Interactive Media often find themselves working in unusual fields - fashion, film, television, publishing companies, advertising firms, or even the government. Every industry has a need to utilize the internet and with a degree in web design, you will be well placed to find a great job!
